The POINT Program, a collaboration of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) and Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA), recently held a fundraiser hosted by Bloomingdale's in White Plains. The sold-out brunch coordinated by Bloomingdale's Public Relations Manager Meryl Lefkowitz, featured Lizandra Vega, author of "The Image of Success: Make a Great Impression and Land the Job You Want.”

A Westchester resident, Vega spoke about the ABCs (Appearance, Behavior and Communication), integral components of being a consummate professional. She also traced her life from humble beginnings to using her principles of success to co-found Perennial Resources International (PRI), a full-service, boutique-staffing firm based in Manhattan.

Based in White Plains, POINT (Pursuing Our Independence Together) is an innovative program that assists adults with special needs to lead rich, full lives. POINT's support enables participants to live, work and socialize independently, maintaining their own apartments, working, volunteering and involving themselves in continuing education.
